not support PUPPY MILLS, nor
PUPPY BROKERS,

take offense to the mistreatment of any animal. |
All of
the breeders associated
with The Urban Puppy Shop are required to meet or
exceed the following criteria:
- Demonstrated
knowledge, experience and commitment to best practices in breeding,
including:

- Knowledge
about the
mating and whelping of dogs in general, so as to minimize the
chances of injury or death to a breeding dog
- Proactive
participation in preserving or improving their breed's health,
form, temperament and function
- Knowledge of the
hereditary problems that can occur in their breed
- Ability to explain
and detail the traits of each dog and how plans for breeding may
improve upon it
- Evaluation and choice
of breeding stock for next generation puppies

- Excellent references
from their veterinarian with regard to breeding
practices

- Annual inspection of
their breeding premises by a qualified veterinarian and compliance
with all recommendations

- Demonstration of the
utmost care and respect for all dogs in their kennel
|
- Evidence of healthy,
happy, exercised, well-socialized, and
well groomed
dogs
